Event Name: Speed Bag Drag Race to 300
Location: Lowell Boxing Club – Tyngsboro, Massachusetts
Prize: $7,000 Cash Prize to First Place, $2,000 to Second Place, $1,000 to Third Place
Qualifying begins Friday, July 17th at 9:00am EST. All contestants must be at the venue by noon, 12:00pm EST, on Friday, July 17th. Friday is Qualifying until 6:00pm EST. The top 20 move on the Final on Saturday, July 18th. All qualifying contestants must be at the venue by 2:00pm EST to check in. The Final starts at 3:00pm EST.
1. Competition Format
The Speed Bag Drag Race to 300 is a skill-based speed bag competition where participants compete to reach 300 verified punches in the fastest time using the official digital Speed Bag Champ punch counter and scoring application.
The competitor who reaches 300 punches in the shortest verified time will be declared the winner.
Your registration secures you for 3 attempts. You have an unlimited number of attempts – if time allows. We must have time for everyone to use their 3 attempts. Contestants may choose to take all 3 attempts and then some, or less than 3 attempts. Every contestant will be logged in to the Speed Bag Champ App. The app will record your time, there will be video recording, and event staff will record on paper after each attempt as a backup.
2. Entry Fee
Entry fee is $100 per competitor.
Entry fees are non-refundable, except in the case of event cancellation by the organizer.
Maximum entries may be limited to approximately 120 competitors.
3. Eligibility
Participants must meet the following:

Event organizers, The Thrasher House and Lowell Boxing Club reserve the right to deny registration and/or entry to anyone for safety or conduct reasons.
4. Equipment
All competitors must use the official event equipment, including:
-
Thrasher House EVO14 XR, small, standard t-hook and accessories that go with that swivel.

Thrasher House speed bag, 5x8
-
Everyone will use the same PSI
-
Speed Bag Champ digital punch counter
-
Official scoring application
No personal equipment may be used during competition.
5. Scoring
Punches will be counted using the official digital Speed Bag Champ punch counter and scoring system.
Competition officials will monitor each attempt to ensure punches are properly counted.
The official time begins when the first punch is registered and ends when 300 punches are recorded.
6. Counter Malfunction
If the digital counter malfunctions during a run:
Event officials may:

Restart the competitor’s run
-
Review video footage
-
Determine scoring using official review
All decisions made by event officials are final.
7. Tie Breaker
If two or more competitors achieve the same fastest time, a sudden death rematch may be held to determine the winner.
8. Disqualification
Competitors may be disqualified by The Thrasher House and/or Lowell Boxing officials and NOT receive a refund for:

Tampering with equipment

Interfering with scoring systems
-
Unsafe conduct
-
Unsportsmanlike behavior
-
Violating event rules
-
Physical or verbal altercations
9. Prize
First place will receive a $7,000 cash prize. Prize money may be funded through entry fees, sponsorship, or private investors. Winner must complete tax documentation required by law. Most of this information will be gathered during this registration so please make sure to give us valid and legal contact information.
10. Taxes
The winner is responsible for all applicable taxes.
The event organizer may issue a Form 1099-NEC for prize winnings as required by U.S. tax law.
11. Media Release
By participating, competitors grant The Thrasher House and Lowell Boxing Club permission to photograph, record, and use event footage for promotional and commercial purposes. This includes social media, advertising, and broadcast.
12. Organizer Authority
Event organizers The Thrasher House and Lowell Boxing Club have full authority over:

Competition Format

Code of Conduct Issues
All decisions made by event officials are final and binding.
13. Event Changes
The organizer reserves the right to:

Modify the competition format
-
Adjust scheduling
-
Limit entries
-
Remove or Refund Contestants for Code of Conduct Violations
if necessary to ensure fairness and safety.
14. Event Cancellation
If the event is cancelled by the organizer, entry fees will be refunded. The organizer is not responsible for participant travel or accommodation expenses in the event of cancellation or removal for Code of Conduct violations.
Liability Waiver
By registering for the Speed Bag Drag Race to 300, I acknowledge and agree to the following:

I understand that participation in speed bag training and competition involves physical exertion and risk of injury.

I voluntarily assume all risks associated with participation.

Sponsors and volunteers
from any liability for injury, loss, or damages arising from participation.

I confirm that I am physically capable of participating in the competition.

I agree to follow all event rules and safety instructions.
Refund Policy
Entry fees for the Speed Bag Drag Race to 300 are non-refundable once purchased. Refunds will only be issued if the event is cancelled by the organizer. Entries may not be transferred unless approved by the event organizer.
Code of Conduct
Participants are expected to treat fellow competitors, spectators, and event staff with respect.
Unsportsmanlike conduct including harassment, intimidation, disruptive behavior, physical or verbal, or interference with the event, in person or via social media, may result in:

disqualification
-
removal from the event
-
forfeiture of entry fees
Event organizers The Thrasher House and/or Lowell Boxing Club staff reserve the right to remove any participant whose behavior negatively impacts the event.
As always, we want to GROW the speed bag community and this sport. This is a fun, family event. We do not take lightly to the fact that the cost for some to travel can be substantial and we want to respect everyone and create a positive and fun environment for all. This is why we are being redundant with the Code of Conduct.
All decisions are final.
